Trend Breaking has been the foundation of technical analysis. The Trend Breaking plugin detects some of the most profitable trend patterns. To use this plugin, select trend breaking in the Indicators and Scans Panel. Then you can configure the plugin according to the following criteria: | Criteria | Explanation | | Trade Term Length | Defines the time range of the trend. Short term is good for finding breakouts after price reactions. Long term is good for finding change in a trend. | | Price & Volume Range | Sets a requirement on the price and volume of a breakout. | | Constraints | Defines what pattern you want to find. No constraint will show every trend breakout regardless of its shape. |
One generality that works extremely well is that the failure of a breakout is a very strong signal in the opposite direction. For example, if the price rises above the lower trend line after a bearish breakout, it is a very bullish signal (Fig. 1). Figure 1. Failure of breakout is strong opposite signalBack To Top |

Support and Resistance are two very important concepts in stock analysis, and this plugin is made to detect them. The configuration has the following criteria: | Criteria | Explanation | | Trade Term Length | Defines the time range of the trend. | | Price & Volume Range | Sets a requirement on the price and volume of a breakout. | | Distance From Previous High/Low | Defines the minimum time frame between the break out day and the previous high/low. (Fig. 2) |

Japanese candle stick patterns can be really profitable when used with RSI (Fig. 3). Each candle stick pattern also have a strength measure. For example, a doji is considered more powerful when it has longer shadows. This plugin lets you define all these configuring values: | Criteria | Explanation | | Name | The name of the pattern you want to detect. | | Strength | The minimum strength of a pattern. | | RSI | RSI period. 14 means a 14 day RSI is used. | | Safe-Risky | Safe means there is a high probability that a trend reversal will happen. Vice versa. |

Many users use technical indicators to determine buy and sell points. This plugin allows you to construct your own technical system in two steps: 1. Define variables. Variables are simply names that represent a value. For example: Figure 4. Variable DefinitionThe first variable is 'MACD #1' and it represents the MACD of the close price. The second variable is 'RSI #1' and it represents the RSI (Relative Strength Index) of 'MACD #1'. The variable table includes: | Fields | Explanation | | Variable | The variable name representing the value defined by this row. | | TA/MATH | The Technical Indicator or Mathematical Operators you want to use. More details ... | | Input Variable | The variable that you base your calculations on. If not applicable, 'N/A' is displayed. | | ARG #123 | Arguments to the indicators you selected. If not applicable, 'N/A' is displayed. | | Color | The color of the indicator shown in chart. 'No color' will hide the indicator in chart. |
2. Define constraints. Constraints are requirements for buy or sell signals (Fig. 5). Figure 5. Signal a buy if price is greater than the value of 'EMA #1'.The constraint table includes: | Fields | Explanation | | Variable One | The first variable in constriant. | | Constraint | Sets the relationship between Variable One and Variable Two. | | Variable Two | The second variable in constraint. | | Type | Defines the constraint as a buy or sell signal. All constrains of the same type must be satisfied for the signal to be valid. |

Fundamental analysis can eliminate many long term risks for a trader. This plugin is designed to help you find out fundamentally sound stocks quickly. Before using this plugin, do not forget to update the fundamental data in the update section. The configuration table includes: | Fields | Explanation | | Fundamental Variable | Selects the fundamental data you want to constrain. | | Comparator | Selects the constrain operator. | | Value | The numerical value you constrain the variable to. For large numbers, you can add 'Million' or 'Billion' as units. |
